Matt and I wrapped up our time in Guatemala with a quick trip to the Eastern part of the country. This part of Gautemala was quite beautiful with rain forests clinging to limestone hills and lush farms rolling through the valleys. The crown jewel of this area is Semuc Champey National Park. This is one of the most beautiful and biologically diverse places I've ever seen-- like a scene created in your imagination of what the Garden of Eden must have looked like. Aquamarine pools, hanging gardens, birds and flowers everywhere, and waterfalls; all this, atop the Cahabón River as it plunges underground through the gorge. Such an incredible place and a killer way to end a great trip.
