Spent a few weeks in Guatemala with my brother back in March. After a quick trip to the Pacific for a little surfing, some birding, and some much needed hammock lounging and book reading, we traveled up to the northern highlands to climb Vulcán Tajumulco, the tallest mountain in Central America. Sea level and a humid 95 degrees to 4,420m and below freezing proved to be an interesting experience.

More trip photos to come-- stay tuned...

Witty words and heaps of hope can indeed be found in the lonely valleys of Northeast Alabama. Don't forget your butt pillow...

Spent a day on Section 4 of the Chattooga with James and Nawaf to enjoy the hills and get some fishing in. The sky went from sunny to snow showers in less than an hour-- crazy! And, incredibly beautiful. And now I can say I've fly fished in the snow. In Georgia.

Last post from our trip to Maine-- lobstering with my brother's friend and a couple days trekking through Acadia. So glad we could finally make the trip to this great state.
